Watches and Consoles, Oh My!

J and I have been playing with our new Ouyas this past week. I’ll save the larger review, but I think it’s safe to say the short review is that the box is great in concept and has some promise, but may not be ready for primetime (note; they just passed 200 available games, ymmv).

But ¬†Ouya is just the first crumble before the avalanche of OS enabled devices. Most folks know that Apple is rumored to be making a wrist watch, and the iTV rumors are interminable and always include the aspect of gaming. Now it seems Google is following suit. Makes sense, but I’m not sure I want the NSA knowing that I played five hours of Robo Defense last night.

This is all cool and everything, but when do I get my damn sonic screwdriver?
